SMS consent for clients

Automated texts (like appointment reminders) require a valid mobile number on the client and a clear SMS consent record. Elevyn shows consent status on the client profile so you can stay aligned with how business messaging is expected to work.

  1. Open the Clients tab.
  2. Tap the client (or create them first).
  3. Find the SMS consent field. It shows one of these states:
  • Consent Confirmed (client agreed to receive SMS)
  • Consent Declined (client opted out)
  • Consent Status Pending (not decided yet)
  1. Make sure the client has a phone number saved. Consent is tied to being able to text that number.
  2. Tap the consent field. A full-screen flow walks you through recording the client’s choice.
  3. You confirm that you obtained verbal consent (or that the client declined), depending on what they told you.

If consent is declined or still pending, automated reminders will not go to that client until you have Consent Confirmed (and a valid number).
